Monopile

The Monopile foundation is the original one for wind turbines. It has already been used within the first offshore wind farm Tunoe Knob, 1995, in Denmark. A tremendous development of the Monopile technology happened over the years up today including geotechnical assessment methods, fabrication and logistic facilities and installation tools. Currently Monopiles are feasible for an installation up to 40m water depth and turbines with rotor size up to 160m, representing an installed capacity of 6 to 8MW.

OWT designs Monopile foundation in closed collaboration with the geotechnical expert, the turbine supplier and the corrosion protection expert of the project.
