ANSYS is used for static and dynamic assessments. Beam, shell and volume modelling is applied depending on the subject. Submodel techniques allow a detailed local analysis within large structures. Superelement techniques enable the reduction of degrees of freedom for modelling e.g. local joint flexibility in complex structures or to condense a complete substructure for load calculation purposes. The FEM use is highlighted for hot spot stress and notch stress analysis. Both the ANSYS work bench environment and the classic one is available and used with respect to the modelling task. APDL script is applied for higher degree automation.
